My teacher had a presentation about website authoring how we need to create for a website from Dreamweaver computer programme before we need to start to create for a website.


Unit 59: Web Authoring

Task 1 Report

Web page construction: Coded page included are:


  • <html> – This tag called HTML document. If you can’t do this tag, and it will be losing all information about the page.
  • <head> – This tag have information about the page TITLE, STYLE tags and the META tags which all of theses use the layout of the page.
  • <title> – Page Title</title> – This is not tag, this is the title of page where in the blue bars at the very top of the screen or in your viewer’s browse.
  • </head>
  • <body> – This is where you can go through including images, text, link, hyperlinks, logos etc.
  • </body> This closes the body tag.
  • </html> – Finally, this tag closes whole document

HTML: Hyper Text Markup Language document is a markup language for tags, text and webpages. HTML are also often used start tags and end tags because there are also called opening tags and closing tags.

XHTML: Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language, HTML was the first name for hypertext markup language, and now XHTML is similar to HTML but it is very complicated. At the moment, we are using mobile phones, games and console. XHTML tags must be all lower case because HTML tags can be written in UPPER case, MIXED case or lower case, all of these must be clear if not it will be complex.

CSS: Cascading Style Sheets is a style sheet language used for document presentation, fonts, colours, margins, lines, height, width, background images, advanced positions, layout and many other things. CSS must be controlled correctly for the layout and you can create different layouts for different media.


Authoring: Authoring create design and website for writing the site’s part of code to writing the text. HTML uses code for the layout of the web pages where user designs. The Graphical design and HTML need to make change to the website for design of the accompanying code. You can find where a website in a desktop publishing format on the computer.

Sites: is a place where you can see all information about websites

Uploading: Uploading and Downloading mean either any files that is received for downloading or has been downloaded or receiving a file.

FTP: File Transfer Protocol is very high network protocol used to transfer files from one host or to another host over a TCP based Internet. FTP can be a used computer to exchange for files, upload or download, via the Internet.


Devising a website

 Task 2

 Components of production: A component of production called Manufacturing is the components production of goods for use or sale using labor and machines, tools, chemical and biological processing, or formulation.  If finished goods may be used for manufacturing other, more complex products, such as aircraft, household appliances or automobiles, or sold to wholesalers, who in turn sell them to retailers, who then sell them to end users.

Client’s requirements: You need to write up your client’s requirements what the client wants in the video, audio, website, audience and photographs then what you decide for the gym.

Audience considerations: It is important to consider the audience for women and equally between men and women. The company will try to ask any questions to personal trainers about member discount for women. The company would be happy if a lot of women were coming to the gym.

Generation of ideas: Ideation is the creative process of generating, developing, new idea, where an idea can be either visual or concrete. These part of both education and practice.

Conceptualisation: If you have an inventing something you need to create website design yourself.

Visualisation: such as Mental Imagery, or Visual Mental Rehearsal (VMR), when you have your mind plays an important role in the creation of your experience. This is certain way to gain positive results.
