The telephone: Past to present
How the telephone had changed since the 1800. At the present, telephones are more different than the invention of the first telephone. Cell phones have two different ways for radios. Radio sends electromagnetic microwaves from base station to base station. The other way is waves are sent through antennas, this is called wireless communication. These are different kind of phones. Flip phones are devices that flip open. A bar phone is named like that because it is shaped like a bar (bar of candy for example). There are also slider phones. It can slide out the number keys or mini keyboard but sometime you use both of them. At the moment, many phones use a touchscreen. All of these phones can be used for email, internet, music, games and other things.
The phone of the future
The phone has had an impressive 130 years of history. What will the phone look like in the future? Will a phone still be called a phone? The phone of the future will always sort out any problem, using various wearable technology devices. For example, maybe in your pocket or something functional, be it a watch, glass, heart rate monitor, health related sensor or even a chip in your brain. The phone will be a small, portable device without sacrificing battery life. Wearable devices will always try to make a big impact over the next few years because currently, the smartphone is doing bigger and better screens. Anything could be possible. Tomorrow is possible.
History: the first apps
Apps of the present
App is an abbreviation of the word: application. Apps have been about radio, TV, online, music and games for decades. You can download all that is available whenever and whenever you want. Sometimes, with an app you can get free access to full episodes, clips and topical videos but sometimes you have to pay to download, purchasing at a minor price. App developers need to make money somehow, but app has been become popular, over 400.000 apps and 1.2 billion devices used worldwide right now. Samsung, IPhone, iPad, and android can use IOS apps for downloading anything you want, such as: goal.com, amazon, dictionary, etc.
EXAMPLE OF DIGITAL PORTFOLIO
When I looked at this picture I thought it was fantastic because it is very creative, beautifully minimal. A person used photography. This picture is very clear and shows a good space for the office. The colours used are relevant to their work, clean and clear. Typography is colour white, it used by Helvetica and capital, upper case and lower case. You can click on three boxes for information that you need and you want to see.
When I looked at this I thought it was good because it is all about a creative portfolio site for stereo creative. The people used to work are flexible and responsive for this project. The stereo creative used paint with many colours like an art exhibitor. The colours are purple, yellow, blue light, orange, red and blue. Typography used are upper case, lower case, white and capital. The background is black, and at the bottom with a rectangle is green.

The Theme – Interactive Device
The company has researched the history of digital interactivity but I also have added present and future research and ideas as well. I wanted to do this research because I consider myself to have the potential for future developments in my work with interactive technology and design. Meaningful is a lyrics app. Meaningful is a bit similar to education. My aim is to add important context to people’s lives. With my device, you can listen to any artists and read their lyrics. We will have thousands of songs to choose from. Lyrics are very important sources of information, because there are so many words out there that have many different meanings depending on their context. This is really important to learn and understand. With my device, the language learning process can work both ways: you can also learn sign language when you don’t understand the meaning of a word, as it will also show you how to use sign language. When you don’t know “Who is that song by?” at the concert, you can click by logo then you will find out who the song is by, also showing the lyrics so that you can read along. You can also use dictionary as well. It can help you to understand lyrics. I want many people to know and understand my art. I don’t think it is a bad idea because you will not get confused. I want ‘Meaningful’ to make people want more music and to understand context better.

My assignment was to create an Interactive media device as part of the smart phones, tablets, games consoles and interactive TVs for my project work. The ‘Meaningful’company is a very good opportunity for Deaf and hard of hearing people, deafless and hearing, as well as communities all over the real-world experience for music. ‘Meaningful’ are about interactive music relating to lyrics, context, word meaning and sign language. In the future, these devices will develop new things which you have never seen before.
Unit 1- Assignment 1
I started to research the history of digital interactivity, but I did this wrong as I researched in depth the history of the Telephone. After I showed my teacher my research, he said I should have been researching the history of digital interactivity. The teacher said I must keep the research I have because I found out Alexander Bell’s parents and wife were Deaf. This relates to my interactive product. I started to research the past, present and future of digital interactivity for Apps and mobile phones. I also consider the potential for future developments in the field of interactive technology and design.
Unit 1- Assignment 2
I started to research examples of digital CVs, portfolios and blogs. I could learn from artists and designers how they use their work for magazines, film, TV production companies and advertising agencies, and how they present their projects. I did two screens grabs of their work then I typed what I needed to explain and why I chose examples of their work.

I decided to start my idea development for possible interactive through a variety of methods from brainstorm, moodboard and thumbnails for a Mobile App. I used my sketchbook to sketch out my ideas.

I started to create a digital portfolio in Adobe After Effect CS5 for animation and composting after I invented my new App for a mobile phone. I started to create the animation for the App which is a bit similar to education because there are so many words out there that have many different meanings depending on their context. This is really important to learn and understand. With my device, the language learning process can work both ways: you can also learn sign language when you don’t understand the meaning of a word, as it will also show you how to use sign language.
The App background colour is red and white. Typography, I used lower & upper case, capitals, black and red font. Then I tried to render the final video. I decided to show teacher who said it played back too fast, I agreed with him. I went back to work and tried to sort out how to extend the time. This went well.
I started another programme for 3ds Max and selected one design prototype, model, light and texture for a mobile. Mobile colour texture isSblack; the main button colour is yellow. Screen used from animation where you can see all my video animation. In the end, I used render transfer to real video but teacher said it looked not good enough because it is abit bored. The teacher showed how to move with camera for mobile phone, it is being 3D.
